Explain the Nov vote? Do you think it might have been the GOP Candidate and the Republican Platform? Nah, no problem there. Keep up the good work.
Overwhelmingly, people think the economy is doing bad. And of course, by most metrics, it is. How can we explain the vote in November, where Obama won handily in a poor economy? Is it no longer “the economy, stupid”?
Are citizens changing their voting preferences and behavior? Maybe we’ve all grown to accept a bad economy as the new normal?
Let’s hear your thoughts…
As much as everyone wants to wholeheartedly believe that the President has unilateral control over every aspect of the country, this is far from the truth. The economy sucks becuase the US Gov has come in and is supressing interest rates in hopes of stimulating the economy. With all of the government interefernce it’s incredibly difficult to know what the markets are going to do because at any point in time the Fed can come in and change their minds and alter the economic cycle.
The bad economy is the new normal, unfortunately. Allowing the government to come in and fuck with the business cycle has completely screwed up the economy. No idea what the voters could do to alter this, since regardless which party is in control the vastness of the government and its spending and intereference won’t stop.
