I think it is ridiculous that people are so focused on what happened in Benghazi. During the Bush Administration there were dozens of attacks on foreign consulates, no one was making a big deal about it then. Why does this matter? Seriously? It didn’t matter when Bush was in office. So why does it matter now? I think people are worried about Hilary Clinton running in 2016, so they are trying to blame her for what happened in Benghazi. But Hilary has explained that she denied sending in help because they were too far away, and the rescue mission would definitely fail. I think it was responsible of her to make that tough call, and not put more American lives at risk. It is unfortunate that Americans lost their lives on 9/11/12, but the politicizing of this issue is getting out of hand. I think we should let it go and focus on our economy.

First the suggestion that help was too far away and there was not enough time presupposes that ANYONE knew how much time was available before or during the attack.
No one could have known if they had 10 minutes or 400 days as when the Embassy in Teheran was attacked. The point is to TRY! Not give up because it was too much trouble to save those lives.
Second, much has been made of the inexcuseable fact (?)that there were no tankers ready to refuel the F-16′s that could have been on the scene in Benghazi from Aviano ,Italy within two hours. This explaination about the tankers is simply untrue.
The combat radius (out and return)of a combat loaded F-16 is just under 800 nautical miles.
From Aviano to Benghazi is 908 nautical miles. The F-16′s could fly to Benghazi, strike and fly over halfway back without re-fueling. This would have given over three hours to get the tankers in the air.
The attack on our Embassy is an act of war. I expect there are numerious other airports as well where the F-16′s could have landed ,with or without permission under the circumstances.
I know a bit about jets as a 5000+hour pilot of Jet aircraft and my fighter pilot friends agree that an effort would likely have made all the difference.
The clear mis-representation to the American public, lack of preparation.evasive answers and most of all the comment “what difference does it make”should go down in history as one of the most disgraceful responses ever by an American “leader”.

Factually I can easily say that something is terribly wrong with the Benghazi situation. I will provide just a few reasons why.

Obama said he called Benghazi a terrorist attack since the Rose Garden on 9/12. Yet in multiple interviews after the fact, when questioned about it, he stated “we’re still investigating.” If he was so adamant that he stated and believed it was a terrorist attack since 9/12 why did he not repeat that fact during multiple interviews?

One of the duties of Secretary of State is “Ensures the protection of the U.S. Government to American citizens, property, and interests in foreign countries;”
Clinton was aware of the severe threats on the ground in LIbya and chose not to proactively increase security, even though that was her duty. Still, her excuse was that she did not see the cables from Ambassador Stevens requesting more security. If she was already aware of the threats, a lack of knowledge of the cables is irrelevant.

General Dempsey is a 4-star general, and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, yet when he appeared with Leon Panetta on CNN, 2/3/13, he lied about the attack in Benghazi. He said it was only two 20 minute attacks with 6 hours in between. Yet Gregory Hicks said something completely different during a Congressional hearing. Mr. Hicks would have no reason to lie and is not partisan. So what would make a 4-star General lie and destroy his honor and respect?

If people would just look at the facts, something is extremely wrong here. There is a complete lack of logic to the Administration’s excuses. I don’t care if you are a liberal, conservative, Democrat, Republican, Libertarian, etc. If there is wrongdoing then people must be held accountable, especially when four of OUR fellow Americans were murdered.

Check the links I provided if you want the facts. Then you can try to argue.

I have heard many talk about how bush had this happen to him. True, but my problem is that Obama LIED to the American people and let 4 Americans die. What his motives are, I don’t know for sure, but he must be punished in some way. And I just want to say: no one died in Watergate. This is worse.
