Barbie Boxer and company blaming climate change is about as shocking as the sun rising (which I am sure they will say is at risk because of the pollution from my car).

They are utilizing the Chicago playbook of never letting a good tragedy go to waste (assuming it advances your political agenda). While Ms. Boxer is old…ok really old, she and thre rest of the environmental movement is relying on data that is 100′s of years old and typically approximated, by MEN THAT WROTE WITH QUILLS!

At this time, we should all be doing what we can to help the people of the Oklahoma and the Red Cross not scheming for political change. Its called tornado season because it happens and will continue to happen every year. Its terrible and tragic, but like earthquakes in California, where you and I live, it happens and you need to pick up the pieces and move on.

God Bless the folks there.

My comment may be short and a little sarcastic but it will be to the point. Since when do we blame climate change for a tornado in “Tornado Alley”??

@jlriggs57aol-com since we have people trying to capitalize on the environmental movement. One thing I’ve learned in the past few years I that there are 3 ultimate culprits for all USA problems: George Bush, Wall Street, and climate change.

Two Cents, I have clicked “like” on your post several times and it doesn’t show up. Love your comment. These are definitely the big scapegoats of our current administration.

Latest CBO report says there is “little,if any”improvement in “green house gas” emissions as a result of the Billions of dollars spent so far.
Since its the CBO report you can be sure if they could has shown any positive results of all that taxpayer money thrown away I am certain they would have done so.
More utter waste of money, not to mention all the disruption of ordinary business as we serfs toil onward to support the liberal agenda.

As I may or may not have stated before, I am definitely for doing what we can to have clean air and water. I breath it, I drink it. Having said that, I feel enough has been done to see that we have these things. We have cleaned up automobile emissions and stopped industries from dumping waste into our lakes, streams, rivers, etc. The continued pouring of billions of dollars into research and studies about a problem that they cannot even prove exists, is a pointless drain on the American taxpayer. The last thing I heard about this fictional subject, was on the radio not too many days ago, and they were laying a lot of blame on cows. The cows passing of gas, in one form or another, was emitting enormous amounts of greenhouse gases and their answer to this was for everyone to stop eating beef and therefore eliminate the need for cows. If we allow ourselves to believe these totally nonsensical flights of fancy, we are no better than the ones who make it up to keep their research money rolling in. As with a lot of things in this country, common sense is slowly fading away. More’s the pity.

I still remember in the early days of the environmental movement the moving scenes of the old Indian with silent tears running down his stoic features as he gazed upon the polluted rivers and trash strewn landscapes of our formerly beautiful country.
Who could fail to be moved by such a tragedy ?
Decades later the rivers are clean again, the air is mostly clean, trash is seldom seen.
The exhaust of new cars is actually cleaner than the air the engine breaths in.
The tragedy now is the destruction of our economy, whose productivity generated the wealth that enabled the greatest environmental cleanup effort in history, in the name of environmentalism .
The goal of present day environmentalists is to delay .stop or destroy any activity of which they disapprove.
Roads, pipelines, construction projects, power lines , cell towers, forrest fire prevention measures, the list is endless.
These things use environmental concerns to reward unions, further political goals, punish enemies, and reward political friends.
It has very little to do with protecting the actual environment. It’s about money and power. Period!
